The primary application area for polyester hydroxylated resins is in high-performance coatings, most notably in two-component (2K) polyurethane coatings for automotive, industrial, wood, and aerospace applications due to their excellent chemical resistance, durability, and aesthetic properties. They are also used in amino resin crosslinked coatings, adhesives, and some specialized elastomers.
