MITTEL 6821

MITTEL 6821 is an accelerating additive for both transparent and pigmented 2K polyurethane products, recommended for promoting drying. Its unique characteristic is its strong accelerating effect on the reaction between hydroxyl (-OH) and isocyanic (-NCO) groups, while having a reduced impact on the pot-life of the mixture. These effects can be easily verified by comparing it with DBTL. MITTEL 6821 is considered to have a negligible influence on the yellowing resistance of the polyurethane paints in which it is used. It can be added by simple stirring at any point during the production process. MITTEL 6821 is compatible with polyesters, hydroxyl acrylics, and short and medium oil alkyds. However, specific tests are advised to avoid defects and unexpected issues.
